Benefits of Small Group Sessions (Max 6 Players)
More 1-to-1 Coaching Moments
With fewer players in the group, coaches can spend more time with each player, giving individual feedback, corrections, and guidance to help them improve faster.
Increased Ball Touches
Smaller groups mean significantly more touches of the ball, allowing players to practice skills repeatedly and develop stronger technical ability.
Faster Skill Development
Because players receive more attention and repetition, technical skills such as dribbling, passing, control, and decision making improve much quicker.
Greater Confidence
In a smaller environment, players feel more comfortable expressing themselves, trying new skills, and building confidence on the ball and in games.
Personalised Coaching
Sessions can be adapted to focus on each player’s strengths and areas for development, ensuring everyone gets the support they need.
More Game Understanding
Coaches can pause, explain, and guide players through game situations and decisions, helping them understand football more deeply.
Stronger Player-Coach Relationship
Smaller groups allow coaches to build better connections with players, helping them feel supported and motivated.
Ideal Learning Environment
With fewer distractions and more structure, players stay engaged, focused, and actively involved throughout the session.
Our small group sessions consist of max 6 players that work together as a small group. These sessions allow us to follow the 1:1 format whilst also being able to expand the drills further. These sessions are specific to the individual player and what they want to work on, as well as creating healthy competition between each other which will drive high levels of intensity and progression in all areas. We ensure that the players we group together are of similar abilities.
Maximal, purposeful touches on the football’s is crucial here at Ballerz Academy to ensure every player is progressing, therefore we start sessions with ball manipulation and mastery to ensure we are progressing and challenging the players technical ability from the start, firstly unopposed (technical) and then opposed (skill). Every session will finish with a small, sided game (SSG) to ensure coaching points throughout the session can be implemented into a game scenario and we can see progression technically and tactically.
Why Group Sessions Are Beneficial :
All of our sessions are coached by players or coaches with professional experience which provides your child with some of the best possible coaching available.
